1)
Mix acrylic pigments with art paste. For more intense color use
less paste. Try ½ cup of paste with 1-2 tablespoons of
paint. Start by mixing up 4 colors in large plastic cups.. The
cups also are handy to pour from and help you save any leftovers
in.

2) Place your paper on a glass or acrylic surface for easy clean
up. Pour and brush paste onto dry paper to coat.
3)
Use any tool to move paste around or to scrap through it. This
is the fun part! If your design starts to disappear, let the
paste "set up" a bit longer. Try again after 10-15
minutes and see if the design holds.

4)
Hang decorated paper from a clothesline with pins to dry.
5)
Try brushing a different color paste to an already dried pasted
sheet that you are not too attached to. The beauty is in the
layering of colors and the ways you expose each colored, textured
layer.
Paste
papers are totally unique. No one can really duplicate your one
of a kind sheet.
I use my paste papers for numerous
art projects; from mixing them with rubber stamps, to creating
collages, to designing handmade books.
