Materials:
Stamp Zia Stamps:
Cherry Branch, Spring Words Paragraph and April Vertical Word
- Zia's Color Wash Jewels - Emerald, Blue Topaz
and Citron
- Watercolor paper
- Black and white cardstock
- Zia Resist
- Colored markers - gray, hot pink and yellow
- India ink pad
- Bleach pen
- Small watercolor brush
- Scissors
- Heat gun
Technique:
1) Scribble Zia Resist over surface of watercolor
paper and gently dry with heat gun.
2) Spray Emerald Color Wash Jewel on watercolor paper and dry
with heat gun. Spray Blue Topaz over entire surface and add a
couple sprays of Citron, then dry with heat gun.
3) Remove Zia Resist by gently rubbing off with finger.
4) Stamp two Cherry Branches in India ink on watercolor paper
surface.
5) Stamp Spring Words Paragraph with a light touch in India ink
across lower third of paper.
6) Color half of inside of branch with gray marker then paint
inside branch with water and small watercolor brush to bleed
the marker color to fill in branches.
7) Color in flowers with hot pink colored marker. Touch bleach
pen tip to fill in all flowers. This will lighten and bleed the
marker color in the flowers.
8) Color in all leaves with yellow colored marker.
9) Stamp April vertical word on white cardstock in India ink,
trim and mount on black cardstock. Glue April word to paper surface.
